Charalambides Christis programme of social solidarity and active giving “SYMMETOCHI” invites for yet another year all new nursing mothers to participate in the traditional annual Simultaneous Breastfeeding event, which will take place on Saturday October 6th, in all cities of Cyprus.
CHARALAMBIDES CHRISTIS, as the largest food production and distribution company, a pioneer in its field, with international quality systems, having a high level know-how and offering products of high nutritional value to consumers, has promoted breastfeeding over the years, supporting mothers who choose to give their children the priceless gift of breast milk, while simultaneously raising awareness among the Cypriot community of the value and benefits of breastfeeding. The event has been established as a successful practice that attracts nursing mothers and children from all over Cyprus.
Charalambides Christis will be supporting the Simultaneous Breastfeeding Day for the 12th consecutive year, while this year's event will be supported within the context of Charalambides Christis fresh milk Plus which is enriched with +40% natural calcium, vitamins A & D and folic acid, which strengthen the body and contribute to bone health.
With the slogan “Breastfeeding: Foundation of Life”, this year's event will take place on Saturday October 6th 2018, coming to an end with a big event in Nicosia where parents and children will have the opportunity to be informed about breastfeeding and to also be entertained through organised activities.
The event is being organised for the 12th consecutive year by the Pancyprian Breastfeeding Association “Gift of Life”, in collaboration with Charalambides Christis social solidarity and active giving programme "SYMMETOCHI". The event is being held under the auspice of the Minister of Health and is part of the promotional activities of the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA). The Simultaneous Breastfeeding event is an international initiative, with similar events being held by advocates of breastfeeding in more than 863 centres worldwide.
Registration for the event starts at 10:00 a.m. at the below points in each city, and the Simultaneous Breastfeeding will begin at exactly 11:00 a.m. The venues of the event are as follows:

According to the goals of the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), the World Breastfeeding Week 2018 focuses on preventing malnutrition in all its forms, ensuring food security and ending the cycle of poverty.
