Chocolate Bar Dessert with galataki Chocolate Milk

Ingredients

For the Base

  • 120 g Oreo-type cookies (without filling, crushed)
  • 50 g hazelnuts (toasted)
  • 60 g butter (melted)

For the Chocolate Layer

  • 500 ml galataki Chocolate Milk Charalambides Christis
  • 300 ml Charalambides Christis Dairy Cream
  • 80 g couverture chocolate
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp liquid vanilla

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, crush the Oreos and hazelnuts, mix with melted butter, and press into a pan to form the base. Chill for 20 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, add all the ingredients except the couverture chocolate. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens.
  3. Once set, add the couverture chocolate and stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Pour over the chilled base, smooth the surface, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  5. Cut into bars, sprinkle with pistachios, and serve chilled.
