With Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) principles at the heart of our strategy, we lead the way in promoting the best possible living conditions for farm animals and demonstrate our commitment to continuous progress and innovation. We have entered into a partnership with the recognised certification body COSMOCERT to certify both the company and our suppliers according to the private “Animal Welfare Standard”, which focuses on the wellbeing of farm animals. COSMOCERT is accredited, among other areas, in the certification of organic products (ISO 17065), management systems (ISO 17021) and verification and validation services (ISO 17029). In practical terms, the implementation of the Animal Welfare programme means that the animals providing the valuable raw material for our dairy production enjoy a good quality of life, proper health and nutrition and a suitable environment, free from pain, fear, stress and anxiety.
We have already invested in specially trained, highly qualified staff who monitor and support farms in matters relating to animal welfare, ensuring the best possible living conditions for farm animals while also delivering greater value to consumers. To date, ten partner farms have been certified. According to the planned schedule, in the first phase a total of 22 dairy cattle farms and 20 sheep and goat farms will be certified. We remain committed to our vision, contributing decisively to the new model of sustainable development with respect for people, nature and future generations, always striving to offer our very best and the very best in nutrition.
