Having the Environment, Society, and Corporate Governance at the core of our strategy, we pioneer the optimal welfare of animals and demonstrate our commitment to continuous development and innovation. We have moved forward with a collaboration with the recognized body COSMOCERT for the certification of our company and our suppliers, in accordance with the private “ANIMAL WELFARE Standard” for the well-being of farm animals. (COSMOCERT is accredited, among other things, in the fields of Organic Products Certification (ISO 17065), Management Systems (ISO 17021), and Verifications/Validations (ISO 17029).)
Essentially, the implementation of the Animal Welfare program means that the animals that provide us the valuable raw material for dairy farming, enjoy a healthy and nutritious life, away from pain, fear, and anxiety.
We have already invested in expertly trained, specialized staff, who monitor and support the farms for the animals’ welfare, in order to ensure better living conditions of the animals, while also giving consumers more value with their products.
To date, 10 partner farms have been certified. We expect a total of 22 cow milk farms and 20 sheep and goat milk farms to be certified during the first phase.
