Since 2013, Charalambides Christis has been running the social solidarity and community support programme “SYMMETOCHI” (“Participation”) as part of the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. The programme promotes the values of social contribution and volunteering, putting them into practice through a wide range of projects and initiatives. With the improvement of children’s quality of life, education and opportunities for recreation as its highest priority, the initiative has been embraced by many important institutions and organisations across the country. These include the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth, the Ministry of Health, the University of Cyprus, the non-profit organisation REACTION, the University of Patras through the environmental programme DAIRIUS, the Commissioner for Volunteerism and the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Children’s Rights. Through the company’s “SYMMETOCHI” programme, together with its initiatives and the collaboration of the organisations that support it, 60 projects and actions have been completed across Cyprus.
