In a milestone year marking 80 years of contribution, Charalambides Christis received two significant distinctions for the initiative “We Unite Our Voices for the Children of Cyprus”, once again reaffirming its long-standing commitment to social responsibility and the support of the younger generation.
On 9 December, at the Presidential Palace, the company was honoured at the 10th Corporate Volunteering and Voluntary Contribution Competition, organised by the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC). The award was received by the President of the company, Mr Alexis Charalambides, who expressed both the honour and the responsibility that accompanies such recognition.
At the same time, Charalambides Christis also stood out at the CSR Awards, where it was recognised for its significant social contribution through the same initiative. This distinction highlighted the meaningful and multi-level impact of the company’s actions on Cypriot society.
The initiative “We Unite Our Voices for the Children of Cyprus”, implemented in collaboration with the Enavsma Foundation and Galaxias Live Productions, constituted one of the most impactful social initiatives of recent years. With the participation of 11 distinguished artists and the enthusiastic response of the public, 18 concerts were held across Cyprus, successfully securing 17 postgraduate scholarships for young men and women who represent outstanding examples of the new generation.
As stated by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Marios Constantinou, “the true strength of a company is measured by the footprint it leaves on society and the love it gives back to it.” These two awards not only validated the company’s efforts but also served as inspiration to continue its work.
