Charalambides Christis and Enavsma Foundation Honoured 17 Scholarship Awardees
Charalambides Christis and the Enavsma Foundation held a special event at the Pattichio Amphitheatre in Larnaca on Thursday, 11 September, marking the culmination of the initiative “We Unite Our Voices for the Children of Cyprus.” More specifically, through its social solidarity and community contribution programme Symmetochi, Charalambides Christis joined forces with the ENAVSMA Foundation and Galaxias Live Productions, sharing a common vision to address social inequalities and promote education. Through this collaboration, they implemented a nationwide scholarship programme offering full-time postgraduate (Master’s) studies in Cyprus or abroad for the academic year 2025–2026. As part of the initiative and aligned with its core message, 18 concerts were held, featuring 11 beloved artists, and 17 scholarships were awarded to young men and women. The Greek artists who united their voices with the public to amplify the initiative’s message were (in alphabetical order): Anna Vissi, Antonis Remos, Despina Vandi, Elena Paparizou, Marinella, MELISSES, Natassa Theodoridou, Sakis Rouvas, Stelios Dionysiou, KINGS and Alcatrash.
During the ceremony honouring the scholarship awardees, the President of Charalambides Christis, Mr Alexis Charalambides, stated: “Today, we celebrate the power of collaboration—for the benefit of 17 young people who are turning their dreams into reality. Throughout its 80-year journey, Charalambides Christis has demonstrated that true strength and success are measured by the impact we leave and the value we return to society. With the completion of the initiative ‘We Unite Our Voices for the Children of Cyprus’, we have awarded 17 scholarships, honouring young individuals who inspire us as positive role models for our country.”
The Vice President of the ENAVSMA Foundation, Mr Leontios Tselepos, noted: “Our collaboration with Charalambides Christis represents the culmination of a year of partnership. Together, we fulfilled our commitment to award at least 10 scholarships—and exceeded it significantly. The trust shown to us by the largest food company in Cyprus strengthens our resolve and proves in practice that strength lies in unity.
We hope this initiative will continue for many years, inspiring young people to grow into the leaders and pioneers of tomorrow.”
Representing the participating artists, Despina Vandi stated: “Music has the power to unite, inspire and give hope. Today, we are not only celebrating music—we are celebrating dreams becoming reality. I am proud to have supported this initiative and even prouder of the young people who earned these scholarships.”
Antonis Remos added: “The greatest joy is when music meets purpose. This initiative proved that music can change lives. Today, we honour 17 young people whose determination reminds us that dreaming is always worthwhile.”
Speaking on behalf of the scholarship recipients, Alkis Papasavvas said:
“This scholarship has been pivotal—not only for the continuation of my studies but also for my confidence. It reminded me that society recognises the effort, perseverance and vision of young people.
In a time of uncertainty, you offered stability—and above all, opportunity.
Investing in young people is an investment in our country’s future. I am committed to returning to Cyprus and contributing to a fairer and more modern society.”
