With the slogan, "A victory for life", the event "Simultaneous Breastfeeding 2014", was held on Saturday, October 4th, 2014, organised for the 8th consecutive year by the Pancyprian Breastfeeding Association "Gift of Life" and was supported by Charalambides Christis within the context of the social solidarity and practical contribution programme, "SYMMETOCHI". The event is under the auspices of the Minister of Health Mr Filippos Patsalis and the Cyprus National Breastfeeding Committee and it is a part of the World Breastfeeding Week. This is an initiative with an international dimension, as respective events take place simultaneously in 250 centres located in 9 different countries. Registration begins at 10:00 am. while Simultaneous Breastfeeding takes place at 11:00 am. The event will take place at the following venues:

The theme of this year’s events, as defined by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), focuses on the need for full support from society for breastfeeding mothers, with the aim of ensuring continued breastfeeding, which is truly a gift of life.
