Ingredients
- 180g. Charalambides Christis ORIGINAL Margarine (at room temperature)
- 230 g. Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 280 g. All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of Baking Powder
- 180 g. Charalambides Christis Fresh Milk Full Fat, 3% fat (cold)
- 1½ spoons Full Fat milk (warm)
- 30 g. Cocoa powder
- 1 pinch of Salt
Instructions
- In the mixer bowl, beat the margarine with the sugar until fluffy.
- Next, add the eggs one by one and continue to beat.
- Then, add the flour together with the baking powder.
- Add the 180 gr. of milk and salt. Continue mixing.
- Take half the mixture to another bowl, and add the sifted cocoa with 1½ spoons of warm milk. Mix well with a whisk.
- Brush an oblong cake tin (25 x 11 cm or round) with margarine and flour.
- Alternately, pour spoonfuls of both mixtures into the mold and bake for 50-60 minutes in a preheated oven at 160 degrees.
- Finally, take the cake out of the oven and leave it for 10 minutes in the form to cool.
- Finally, invert the cake onto a serving platter.
Tip: For more flavour, brush with chocolate glaze evenly over the surface of the cake.
