Delicious Chocolate Yoghurt Cake!

  • 260g. all-purpose Flour
  • 80g. cocoa
  • 300g. Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon of baking soda
  • 280g. Straggato Yoghurt 2% fat low-fat Charalambides Christis
  • 180 ml sunflower oil
  • 120 ml orange juice
  • 2 eggs

For the glaze

  • 280g. chocolate couverture
  • 190g. unsalted butter
  • 220g. Straggato Yoghurt 2% low fat Charalambides Christis
  • 4 spoons of cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 200g. powdered sugar


For the cake

  1. In a mixer bowl, whisk together all the ingredients, first on low speed and then on higher speed until the mixture becomes smooth.
  2. Take a non-stick springform cake pan with a removable bottom and grease it with a little butter.
  3. Then pour the mixture into the cake pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  4. When it's ready, let it cool and then unmold it carefully.

For the glaze

  1. Melt the chocolate with the butter in a bain-marie, stirring constantly.
  2. Let the chocolate cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Then in a large bowl, add the melted chocolate and mix with the rest of the ingredients, beating well with a whisk.
  4. Finally, use a spatula to spread the glaze over the cake and serve.

Tip: It’s better to transfer the cake to the refrigerator for 40 minutes before serving.
