Chicken wings with honey and chili | Charalambides Christis

Homemade chicken wings with honey and chili.. Secret ingredient of absolute success? Our own margarine.

For the chicken wings

  • 150 g. Charalambides Christis, margarine Original (melted)
  • 1 kilo of chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic (powder)
  • 50 ml Sunflower oil
  • Salt & Pepper

For the glaze

  • 100 g. Charalambides Christis, margarine Original (melted)
  • 150 g. Honey
  • 80 g. Chili sauce
  • 50 g. Soy sauce
  • Juice of 1 lemon


For the chicken wings

  1. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Cover with cling film and leave the mixture in the fridge for 1 day.
  3. The next day, take the wings out of the fridge and transfer them to a baking tray, pouring the marinade on top.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes.
  5. Then take them out and let them cool down for a bit.
  6. Then take the wings and transfer them to a clean baking tray, setting it aside.

For the glaze

  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and beat them at high speed for 5 minutes.
  2. When the mixture is ready, pour it over all the chicken wings and spread it well using a basting brush.
  3. Finally, bake for another 20 minutes in the oven and serve.
