Ingredients
- 350 g. Charalambides Christis margarine Original
- 130 g. Sugar
- 600 g. All-purpose flour
- 70 g. Cocoa powder
- •50 g. Cognac
- 1 Vanilla sachet
- 4g. Baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- Roasted almonds
For the garnish
- A little Rose blossom water
- 1 cup of icing sugar
- A little Cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.
- Mix all the ingredients in the mixer at low speed, except the cognac and almonds, until all the ingredients are combined, and the dough is uniformed well.
- Then add the cognac and the almonds.
- Shape balls to the size you want using your hands.
- Place the kourabiedes in the baking tray lined with parchment paper, keeping a distance from each other.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 30 minutes until they are slightly golden.
- When the kourabiedes are ready, take them out of the oven and immediately sprinkle them with rose blossom water.
- Finally, put them in a large bowl with icing sugar, and leave them aside for 10 minutes. Serve them on a Christmas platter and sieve some extra cocoa powder on top and you will surely take the credit for it!
