Ingredients
- 200 g. Charalambides Christis margarine Original (at room temperature)
- 250 g. All-purpose flour
- 5 g. Baking powder
- 150 g. Powdered sugar
- 2 large Egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Grease some baking trays with margarine and place them with some baking sheets.
- In a mixer bowl, stir in the flour and baking powder, add the sugar, a pinch of salt, the yolks, the cloves and the margarine. Mix for a while until the mixture forms and becomes a tight dough.
- When the dough is ready, shape it into a salami shape and wrap it with cling film.
- Let the dough rest for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Then sprinkle a cutting board or a countertop with a bit of flour and open the dough carefully.
- Cut the dough into 1cm thick slices using a sharp knife.
- Transfer the cookies to the pans, keeping a distance from each other.
- Finally, bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until they have a light brown colour.
- Allow the cookies to cool in the pan before serving.
