Pasta Flora with Margarine!

Prep Time
Cook Time

  • 150 g. Powdered sugar
  • 200 g. Charalambides Christis Margarine Original (at room temperature)
  • 1 Egg
  • 300 g. All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon of Baking Powder
  • 1 pinch of Salt
  • 250 g. Raspberry or strawberry jam

  1. In a mixer bowl, put all the ingredients together (except the jam) and knead them with the paddle, so that they are mixed well for a single dough to be made.
  2. Then take the dough and spread it in a rectangular or square baking dish (20 x 20 cm), keeping some of the dough aside to make the cords that are placed over the pasta flora.
  3. When the dough is spread inside the dish, transfer it to the refrigerator for a while to firm up.
  4. When it is ready, spread the jam over the dough, leaving a gap of 1 cm.
  5. Take the rest of the dough and form thick cords and arrange them in a criss-cross pattern over the jam.
  6. Finally, bake the pasta flora in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
