Yoghurt with Caramelized Peaches and Sesame Bar (Pasteli)!

Ingredients

  • 450 g. Straggato Yoghurt Authentic (10% Fat), Charalambides Christis
  • 100 g. Sesame Bar (crumbled)
  • 4-5 ripe Peaches (cut into wedges)
  • 60 g. Butter
  • 80 g. Sugar
  • A few Pistachios for garnish
  • A few Sage leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a non-stick pan, heat the butter over high heat until it melts.
  2. Add the peach wedges and allow them to colour, letting them release some of their juice in the pan. Add the sugar and stir for 2-3 minutes until the sugar melts and the peaches caramelize (be careful not to overcook, as the caramel should remain liquid).
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and set it aside in a cool spot in your kitchen.
  4. In a bowl or plate, place the yoghurt and top it with the caramelized peaches along with the caramel sauce from the pan.
  5. Finally, sprinkle with the crumbled sesame bar and pistachios. Garnish with sage or mint leaves before serving.

Tip: This recipe makes a perfect snack during the day or a simple, delicious dessert for you and your friends. It’s refreshing, and you can add more flavour by mixing in pieces of dark chocolate with the yoghurt.
