Chicken Orzo | Charalambides Christis

Today's recipe, chicken orzo!

Ingredients

  • 1 spoon of Olive oil
  • 2 chicken fillets (cut into cubes)
  • 1 Onion (finely chopped)
  • 500 g. Orzo (Boiled)
  • ½ cup of White Wine
  • 1 litre Chicken Broth (hot)
  • ½ cup Charalambides Christis Kefalotyri (grated)
  • 120 g. Charalambides Christis margarine Original
  • Little fresh Parsley (finely chopped)  
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a deep frying pan over high heat. Add the olive oil and sauté the chicken until well browned. Then, using a pair of tongs, remove the chicken to absorbent paper.
  2. Add the onion to the pan and continue sautéing.
  3. Return the chicken to the pan and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the wine and let it cook well.
  5. Pour in the cooked orzo and mix well until it comes to a boil.
  6. Add the broth and let the food set.
  7. Finally, add the Charalambides Christis margarine, kefalotyri and parsley. Stir and serve hot, with a glass of chilled white wine.
