Feta Wrapped in Kataifi with Walnut Spoon Sweet
Ingredients
• 1 cup finely chopped Chrysi Zymi Kataifi
• Charalambides Christis Feta (200 g)
• 2 pieces walnut spoon sweet + 2 tsp of its syrup
• ½ cup flour
• 2 eggs
• 1 heaping tsp Charalambides Christis margarine Original
• 2 sprigs fresh thyme
Instructions
1. Prepare three separate plates: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with kataifi.
2. Coat the feta block first in the flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally roll it in the kataifi, pressing gently so the dough sticks all over.
3. In a medium frying pan, add the margarine and thyme and heat over medium heat.
4. Once the margarine melts, add the kataifi-coated feta and fry on all sides until golden and crispy.
5. Transfer to a serving plate and drizzle with the walnut syrup.
6. Top with the walnut spoon sweet pieces and a little extra fresh thyme if desired.
7. Serve immediately while warm.
